Our member Charles Troy brings one of his unique and entertaining presentations on the history and creation of popular American musicals to Congregation Bene Shalom. Please join us for a multi-media program of original graphics, historic photos, video clips, and edited audio tracks. Learn about the city of Chicago in the 1920’s and about Maurine Watkins, the enigmatic author of the 1926 play on which the musical is based. Charles’ extensive research, writing, and passion create a dramatic story!
